CALL TO ORDER: Welcome back and Thank You to all our volunteers. All committee members were introduced and a description of the purpose and procedures of this committee was discussed.

ADMINSTRATIVE REPORTS:
Mr. Manuel: Last year the district combined 3 runs and this year the combined 5 runs all Educational bus runs to help lower the contract costs. Keeping with 3 principles guiding their decision. 1. Safety and security of students, 2. Meeting load criteria, 3. Time limit of 45 minutes. The combined runs are running efficiently. The District purchased 1 hybrid bus for $150,000 and 4 regular buses for $125,000. FYI A hybrid bus gets 12 mpg vs. 6 mpg on a reg. bus. N.Y.S. D.O.T. inspects buses every year with an acceptable 90% pass score. This year HHH scored 98.9 with the maintance squad scoring very well.
Mr. Troy: The District not only eliminated 5 runs but also stops on existing runs. Transportation works on the 1st week getting stops for new students. The 2nd week trying to ascertain loads and time limits. The 3rd week looking into requests with Mr. Troy getting back to parents with answers. Also Educational Bus Co. was voted one of the best in the country and their Manager Tim Flood voted Contractor of the year. This year all HHH buses started 4 days earlier to do dry runs, 4 hour refresher course and first aid training.

ROUTE CONCERNS:
CW – Route 57 is late to school.
WH – Route 62 bus route being done backwards.
SH – Bus 72 making a 3 pt turn instead of the safer alternative of a u turn at end of street
HSE – Activity bus #3 is overcrowded

ALL OF THE ABOVE MR. TROY WILL LOOK INTO.

NEW BUSINESS:
Next months meeting will be a bus ride and tour of bus depot.
